Dr Sigrid Denehey

Dr Sigrid Denehey is an experienced clinical neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist specialising in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions (for more information on the field of neuropsychology, please see our services page). Dr Denehey is a Fellow of the College of Clinical Neuropsychologists, a Member of the International Neuropsychological Society and a Member of the Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment. She is also a Consultant Neuropsychologist for the Red Health medicolegal assessment group.

Dr Denehey has worked in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for a number of years (i.e. the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals who have suffered traumatic brain injury, stroke, encephalitis/meningitis, brain tumours etc.), as well as aged care services and memory clinics (i.e. the diagnosis of dementia and other neurodegenerative conditions).

As both a clinical neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist, Dr Denehey is well-placed to determine whether or not perceived cognitive and/or behavioural decline is due to underlying neuropathology, mood or both. Dr Denehey is happy to provide medico-legal assessments and opinions where required.

Dr Denehey works with adults (16 years +) and is currently only accepting referrals for neuropsychological assessment due to her part-time status.
